Algeria severed its diplomatic ties with the UAE on Thursday, citing a series of "provocative or hostile" actions by the latter amid differing positions on several regional issues. The country called UAE's actions "unacceptable or intolerable," adding that it had "exhausted all means of preserving bilateral relations." UAE ambassador was summoned and given 48 hours to comply with the decision.
