Alia Bhatt to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'

Alia Bhatt has confirmed that she will star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. Alia took to Instagram and wrote, "A name you've heard, a story you haven't #GangubaiKathiawadi...going to be special...releasing 11 September 2020." The film would be based on Gangubai Kathiawadi's life, who was a pimpstress and a matriarch in Mumbai in 1960s.
