Alia questions Bollywood's '75% audience is male' argument, says 'Who will cater to women?'
Alia Bhatt, during an interview at Cannes Film Festival, questioned the '75% movie-going audience is male' argument of Bollywood filmmakers to push male-centric films. Calling for "gender-agnostic" films, Alia said, "If we're catering just to men, then what happens to the women? I'm not saying alienate the men." She cited examples of success of 'Barbie', 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'.
