All non-packaged or loose sweets sold to carry a ‘best before’ date from today
The FSSAI has directed sweet shop owners to carry a ‘best before’ date for non-packaged or loose sweets in order to ensure better food safety. The directive has to be followed from today, the FSSAI said. While mentioning the date of expiry is mandatory, the manufacturers can decide on whether they wish to also write date of production, it added.
