Allahabad HC acquits man sentenced in 42-year-old case over missing records

Allahabad High Court has acquitted a man who was sentenced in a criminal case 42 years ago citing "non-availability of the vital and important basic records". Ram Singh was sentenced to four years of imprisonment in 1982 by a court in Ballia. "This court has no other alternative in these circumstances but to allow the appeal," the High Court said.
