Alleged Russian agent charged in US after buying Beverly Hills condos

A Ukrainian lawmaker with alleged Russian ties has been charged with money laundering and sanctions violation after he bought two properties in California's Beverly Hills and concealed his involvement. In 2020, US sanctioned Andrii Derkach for allegedly helping Russia interfere in US presidential election. Derkach created shell entities globally in a plot to buy properties, prosecutors said.
