Alphabet sells Google Domains to Squarespace for reported $180 mn

Alphabet is shutting Google Domains business and selling the assets to Squarespace, according to a statement released on Thursday. Squarespace is reportedly acquiring the assets, which include 10 million domains hosted on Google Domains spread across millions of customers, for about $180 million. Squarespace said it'll honour Google Domains customers' renewal prices for at least 12 months.
