Alphabet shares fall after it ramps up AI infrastructure spending

Google parent Alphabet on Wednesday reported its strongest-ever quarter of growth for its cloud computing business. However, the stock fell 3% in extended trading as concerns over delays to its flagship AI model persisted, and the company raised its 2026 capital spending plan by $15 billion to support AI infrastructure. Alphabet expects capital expenditures of $195 billion to $205 billion.
