ALTBalaji buys 17.5% stake in celebrity engagement platform Tring

Balaji Telefilms' OTT platform ALTBalaji has acquired a 17.5% stake in celebrity engagement platform Tring, with the investment valuing the startup at ₹100 crore. Founded in June 2019, the Mumbai-based startup raised an undisclosed amount of funding in May from angel investors such as Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Unacademy CEO Gaurav Munjal and Udaan CEO Sujeet Kumar.
