A shortage of aluminium can sheets has hit beverage companies, Moneycontrol reported. This comes as demand for cold drinks and beer has surged amid an unusually harsh summer. The shortage has forced firms to cut production, shift to PET and glass bottles. Executives said BIS-related import delays already disrupted supplies this year, with tensions in West Asia worsening the situation.
