Always kept a hammer: US researcher on sexual harassment claims in Antarctica

Several women workers at McMurdo Station, the US research base in Antarctica, have claimed they've experienced sexual harassment at the base. Mechanic Liz Monahon said she grabbed a hammer and kept it on her at all times after a man threatened her in 2021. "If he came anywhere near me, I was going to start swinging at him," Monahon added.
