Aman Lekhi resigns as Additional Solicitor General

Additional Solicitor General (ASG) of India, Aman Lekhi, tendered his resignation from the post on Friday. In his resignation letter, addressed to the Union law and justice minister Kiren Rijiju, Lekhi wrote, "Tendering my resignation...at the Supreme Court with immediate effect." The senior advocate was appointed, in March 2018, after his name was cleared by the Union Cabinet.
