Amarinder, Jakhar named in BJP's Punjab core committee

The BJP on Tuesday formed a 17-member core committee for Punjab with the names of former Congress leaders Amarinder Singh and Sunil Jakhar featuring among them. Former Punjab CM Singh had left the Congress ahead of the last state assembly elections. Former Lok Sabha member Jakhar had left the party in May this year.
