Amarnath Yatra cancelled for 2nd consecutive year due to COVID-19, will be symbolic

J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has said the annual Amarnath Yatra has been cancelled and will be symbolic only. The 56-day pilgrimage to the 3,880-metre-high cave shrine of Lord Shiva in upper reaches of the Himalayas has been cancelled for the second consecutive year due to COVID-19. It was scheduled to start on June 28 and end on August 22.
