Amarnath Yatra resumes after 6-day pause due to weather

The Amarnath Yatra from Jammu resumed on Saturday after it was suspended for six days due to weather conditions. The 18th batch comprising 6,269 pilgrims left the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in a 223-vehicle convoy to undergo the yatra, officials said. This comes after weather improved and the Jammu-Srinagar Highway opened for traffic after a three-day closure due to landslides.
