Amarnath Yatra suspended amid continuous heavy rainfall in J&K

The Amarnath Yatra was suspended on Friday as a precautionary measure after continuous heavy rainfall across Jammu and Kashmir triggered flash floods. The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was also shut after multiple landslides were reported on the route. Earlier, the Amarnath Yatra from Jammu had resumed on Saturday last week after being suspended for six days due to weather conditions.
