Amazon, Instamart & BigBasket lose food licence over selling poisonous Datura in K'taka

Karnataka Food Safety and Drug Administration Department has suspended food licences of Amazon, Instamart and BigBasket for selling poisonous datura fruits and seeds for human consumption. It has ordered them to immediately remove all listings offering datura for human consumption and stop its sale as a food product. During inspection, some packets were found carrying FSSAI registration numbers.
