Amazon adds Indian Flag Code to compliance software

E-commerce major Amazon has incorporated the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950 and the Indian Flag Code into its global compliance software, the Indian government has said. Amazon edited its compliance software to automatically reject products that misuse Indian national flag and icons after facing flak for products such as doormats and shoes bearing the symbols.
