Amazon and BigBasket get nod for alcohol delivery in West Bengal

Amazon has received approval to deliver alcohol in West Bengal, weeks after it forayed into India's food delivery market, as per a notice seen by BloombergQuint. The West Bengal State Beverages Corp, the agency authorised to carry out online retail of liquor trade in the state, said that BigBasket, alongside Amazon, was found to be eligible for registration with authorities.
