Amazon crosses $3 trillion market cap for 1st time as shares hit record high

Amazon surpassed $3 trillion in market capitalisation for the first time on Monday, becoming only the fifth company to reach the milestone. Shares of the e-commerce giant rose over 5% to a record high of $286 in early trading. The stock had also surged 15% on Friday after the company reported its strongest cloud growth in more than four years.
