Amazon, Flipkart seek rollback of proposed 1% TDS on online sellers

Amazon and Flipkart are among the online retailers who have demanded government to scale back its proposed 1% TDS on third-party sellers on their platforms. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has stated that the tax would hurt India's e-commerce sector. "This will also lead to reduced trading activity," FICCI said on behalf of e-commerce companies.
