Amazon invests $2.75 billion more in OpenAI-rival Anthropic

Amazon has invested $2.75 billion more in Anthropic, taking its total investment in the AI startup to $4 billion. This comes after Amazon had initially invested $1.25 billion in September. Anthropic, which was founded by former members of ChatGPT-maker OpenAI, is also backed by Google, Salesforce and Zoom. Reportedly, this is Amazon's largest external investment in its three-decade-long history.
