Amazon layoffs continue as company cuts jobs in advertising unit

Amazon has started laying off some employees in its advertising unit as part of CEO Andy Jassy's cost control efforts, the company confirmed. According to an email, layoffs will begin on June 20 or July 17 and would most likely affect workers in New York and New Jersey, CNBC reported. Amazon has announced 27,000 job cuts in 2023 so far.
