Amazon ran secret operation to gather information on rivals like Walmart, Flipkart: Report

Amazon spent years gathering information about rivals like Walmart, Flipkart & eBay through secret operation, Wall Street Journal reported. Amazon started a firm called Big River Services International in 2015 as part of 'Project Curiosity' to understand how Amazon's rivals ran their businesses, the report added. Its employees used separate, non-Amazon email addresses when talking to other firms.
