Amazon’s ‘Ask My Book’ AI sparks author consent concerns

Amazon has launched Ask My Book, a new Kindle feature that uses AI to answer reader questions about plots, characters, and themes without spoilers. While Amazon calls it an expert reading assistant, some authors and users have raised concerns over consent, copyright, and whether AI tools are unfairly using published works without permission or compensation.
