Amazon's operating revenue up 30% to $23.9 billion, driven by AWS

Amazon reported operating income of $23.9 billion for the January-March quarter, up from $18.4 billion a year earlier. Amazon Web Services was a key driver, posting a 28% YoY sales jump to $37.6 billion, its fastest growth in 15 quarters. Amazon’s net sales increased 17% YoY to $181.5 billion in Q1 2026, compared with $155.7 billion.
