Amazon's Zook recalls 105 robotaxis as they fail to detect smoke

Amazon's Zoox is recalling 105 autonomous vehicles after discovering they may fail to detect heavy smoke, potentially interfering with emergency responders. The issue surfaced after an unoccupied robotaxi entered a smoke-filled fire scene in Las Vegas on June 20, braked suddenly, and had to be guided away remotely. The recall comes amid US' increased scrutiny of autonomous vehicle safety.
