Amazon says Future Group violated contract with Reliance deal

Amazon has sent a legal notice to Future Group alleging its $3.4-billion sale of retail and other assets to Reliance Industries violated a 2019 contract. Amazon had bought a 49% stake in Future Coupons, which owns a 7.3% stake in Future Retail. Amazon's investment reportedly came with contractual rights that include a right of first refusal and a non-compete-like pact.
