Amazon shuts AI leaderboard after employees trick it: Report

Amazon scrapped KiroRank, an internal AI leaderboard that ranked employees based on their AI usage, the Financial Times reported. The move came after some staff allegedly began "tokenmaxxing" by using AI for unnecessary tasks to climb the rankings. This increased the company's AI-related costs instead of improving productivity. Amazon is now using a new metric called "normalised deployments".
