Amazon suspends construction of new warehouses in Spain: Report

Amazon has reportedly suspended construction of new warehouses in Spain until 2024. According to local news website El Confidencial, the company told its providers and partners to "wait and see" as the pandemic-driven surge in online shopping has slowed down. Amazon earlier said it plans to hire 2,000 people and increase its total headcount to 20,000 in Spain this year.
