Amazon to acquire 3.58% stake worth ₹745 crore in Big Bazaar owner

Amazon has agreed to acquire a 49% stake in Kishore Biyani's Future Coupons, which owns a 7.3% interest in Big Bazaar operator Future Retail. This gives Amazon a 3.58% indirect stake in Future Retail, worth about ₹745 crore on Thursday. It also has an option to buy all or part of promoters' 47% shareholding in Future Retail after three years.
