Amazon to pause hiring in some businesses after Q3 revenue miss

Amazon CFO Brian Olsavsky said the company will pause hiring in certain businesses after its third-quarter revenue of $127.1 billion missed estimates. "As the third quarter progressed, we saw moderating sales growth across many of our businesses...we expect these impacts to persist throughout the fourth quarter...we're also taking actions to tighten our belt, including pausing hiring," he said.
