Amazon unveils its 1st full self-driving mobile warehouse robot 'Proteus'

Amazon has unveiled its first fully autonomous mobile robot, Proteus, which is meant to move large carts in its warehouse and can safely navigate around human employees. It also showcased a prototype of a robotic arm, Cardinal, that can lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds, read labels and precisely place them in a GoCart.
