Amazon workers are striking for the first time in the UK over wages and "severe" working conditions. Earlier, 98% of GMB union workers at Amazon's Coventry fulfilment centre voted in favour of a walkout. About 300 employees are expected to take part in it. Amazon increased starting pay by 50 pence to a minimum of between £10.50-11.45/hour last year.
