Ambani's Reliance relaunches China's Shein in India after 5-year ban

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Retail has relaunched Chinese fast fashion label Shein in India, under a licensing deal, nearly five years after it was banned. Last year, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal told Parliament that the agreement entails that local manufacturers and suppliers will manufacture products under the Shein brand and sell them domestically and globally.
