AMD briefly crosses $1-trillion market cap for 1st time

American chipmaker AMD briefly crossed $1 trillion in market capitalisation for the first time on September 21. With this, AMD became the fourth US chipmaker to reach the milestone after Nvidia, Broadcom and Micron. The company's shares were last up 9% at $610, after surging to an all-time high of $613.92, pushing the chipmaker to a $1-trillion valuation.
