AMD to sell AI servers worth tens of billions of dollars to Anthropic

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) will sell servers worth tens of billions of dollars to Anthropic and invest up to $5 billion in the Claude maker. Anthropic will buy up to two gigawatts of AMD's latest-generation Instinct MI450 chips, starting in 2027's first half, the companies said. The deal will help Anthropic secure much-needed AI computing capacity, according to Reuters.
