'American Idol' star Paula Abdul sues producer Nigel Lythgoe for sexual assault

US singer, dancer and 'American Idol' star Paula Abdul has sued British producer Nigel Lythgoe, accusing him of sexually assaulting her when they worked together on two talent shows. She alleged Lythgoe sexually assaulted her in an elevator during the early seasons of 'American Idol'. Lythgoe allegedly grabbed Abdul's breasts and genitals in a hotel elevator, according to the lawsuit.
