American Jewish Committee calls Pilot Smit Machchhar ‘best of India’

The American Jewish Committee, in a letter to CGI Seattle Prakash Gupta, said that Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar represents the "best of India." The letter also called Machchhar a "hero" who maintained his presence of mind despite being severely injured and saved more than 170 lives. This comes after Machchhar averted a mid-air disaster on a Flydubai flight.
