Amit Shah congratulates Assam on passing of Uniform Civil Code

Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated the people of Assam on passing of the Uniform Civil Code on Wednesday, calling it "BJP's resolve since its foundation". "I congratulate Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and all the legislators who supported this bill," he added. Assam became the third BJP-ruled state after Uttarakhand and Gujarat to pass the Uniform Civil Code.
