Amodei smiles awkwardly, says Claude use in strike that killed 120 girls doesn't violate red lines

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei addressed reports that Claude was used in a US strike on an Iranian school, which killed 156 people, including 120 schoolgirls. "We don't know exactly how these models are used," Amodei said, noting that such strikes are "terrible". "What you're talking about is use case that doesn't even violate our red lines," he added, smiling awkwardly.
