Ancient hidden city found untouched after 1,000 years in Mexican jungle
Archaeologists have found a hidden Mayan city in Mexico that has remained untouched for more than 1,000 years. The site dotted with monuments, pyramids and palaces deep inside the dense jungles of Campeche has been named Minanbé. The Mayan lowlands were home to nearly 11 million people during the Late Classic period (600 to 900 AD).
