Ancient infants, found in 1,200-yr-old latrine, likely twins: Study

Archaeologists have re-examined a 2010 discovery from Turkiye's Ephesos, revealing two newborn infants buried in a grave inside an abandoned Roman latrine were likely twins. They said the effort used to build the grave, dating to eighth or ninth century CE, suggested protection and mourning rather than disposal. The grave was built as small cist structure using bricks and stones.
