An extinct kangaroo species that lived ten thousand years ago did not hop on two legs but walked on all four legs in Australia, according to a new study. It suggests that the extinct species, called Protemnodon, was bigger than the modern-day kangaroo and had short feet, backing the proposal that it was a quadrupedal creature.
