Ancient sea predator survived injuries by swallowing stones

After suffering jaw and shoulder injuries, the 21-foot marine reptile likely swallowed stones, or gastroliths, to grind food and aid digestion. This rare discovery suggests the creature adapted its hunting strategy and survived long after its physical prime.
