Andaman & Nicobar to get renewable energy-based power supply project

The central government will set up a renewable energy-based power supply project in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The centre had signed a grant agreement with the Japan International Cooperation Agency to provide loan of $133 million in March for the same. The project, which will help in reducing the islands' carbon footprint, is expected to be completed by February 2024.
