Anderson overtakes Kumble to become third-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket
England's 39-year-old pacer James Anderson has become the third-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket, overtaking ex-India leg-spinner Anil Kumble's tally of 619 wickets. Anderson registered figures of 23-8-54-4 in India's first innings in first Test at Trent Bridge to take his tally of wickets in Test cricket to 621. Ex-Sri Lanka off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan has taken most Test wickets (800).
