Andhra launches free gas cylinder scheme from Diwali

The Deepam-2 scheme, part of CM Chandrababu Naidu's 'super six' promises, offered three free gas cylinders yearly to eligible women in Andhra Pradesh. With a budget of ₹2,684 crore, the scheme provides ₹876 to beneficiaries per cylinder. Funds were released to gas companies, starting Tuesday.
