Andhra's Veligonda project remains incomplete even after 30 years

30 years after Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for the Poola Subbaiah Veligonda Project in 1996, the long-pending irrigation scheme in Andhra continues to face delays, with its completion now targeted for mid-2026. Naidu, who performed the bhoomi pooja during his first term as CM, reiterated that he would be the one to complete the project and deliver water.
