Andhra student builds QR code that shares live location with police to ensure safety

G Srinivas Reddy, a fourth-year engineering student, has developed a QR code-based real-time traveller safety system that shares live journey location with police control rooms. Installed in public and rental vehicles, it allows passengers to scan a code using their smartphones as soon as they begin their journey. It was adopted by the Andhra Pradesh Police in the NTR district.
